Epps is a 2019 graduate of Michigan State University (MSU), where he majored in Journalism. When it comes to his profession, Epps serves at WDKY – FOX 56 as a sports director, a role he has held since October 2023. He started as a weekend sports anchor and weekday sports reporter at the station.
Epps has had a diverse career in sports journalism, starting as a Sports Intern at WLNS-TV in Lansing, Michigan. He then pursued additional internships at WDIV Local 4 News/ClickOnDetroit and later worked as a Freelance Camera Operator for the Detroit Lions.
Moving forward, Epps became a Sports Reporter at Focal Point News, followed by roles as Executive Producer for the BTN Student U Halftime Show at Big Ten Network and Sports Photographer at WLNS-TV. He also served as a Sports Reporter at WLNS-TV before transitioning to WJHL-TV in Johnson City, Tennessee, as a full-time Sports Reporter. From there, he joined FOX 56 – WDKY.
Epps played a key role in covering high school football and basketball games on “Home Team Friday Nights,” a program that earned recognition from the Kentucky Broadcasters Association for “Best Sports Prep Show.” Alongside Nicole Hutchisonn and Mitch Brown, Epps contributed to the success of the show. Additionally, he was instrumental in the launch of “The OT on FOX 56 Sports,” a new sports program that airs on FOX 56 every Sunday night at 11 PM.
