Following that, Donlon shifted to Chicago, Illinois, and worked as a news anchor for WGN-TV for 2 years and 6 months, from April 2018 to September 2020. Later, Donlon joined Nexstar Media Group.

From March 1, 2021, to March 25, 2022, Donlon hosted his own nightly American television news show, “The Donlon Report,” on NewsNation. The program lasted for 1 hour every day and was broadcast at 6 PM ET. However, on March 28, 2022, “NewsNation Rush Hour” took over “The Donlon Report” time slot at 6 p.m. ET, and it now airs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET.

The sellers wanted to sell it for $1.27 million at first, but they kept lowering the price until Donlon and his wife bought it for $1.06 million. Donlon didn’t say anything about it, and their real estate agent, Karen Iantorno, didn’t comment either. In the 2020 tax year, they had to pay $18,651 in property taxes for their condo.
