Throghout his career as a sports journalist, he has won several awards and honors for his remarkable work as a storyteller and sportscaster. Some of these honors include several Emmy Awards and Emmy nominations, Associated Press Awards, and Edward R. Murrow Awards.
Over the years of his career, Martineau has been fortunate to cover major events such as the World Series, the Super Bowl, National Championship Games, and The Masters. However, he says that he finds real joy in telling stories about local athletes, both amateur and professional.
