Cramer is also the founder and creator of TheStreet.
Cramer was the founder/owner as well as senior partner hedge fund manager of Cramer Berkowitz. In 2001, he retired from all his duties at his hedge fund after having a 36 percent-plus year in 2000. In 1981, he joined Harvard University where he attained his Law Degree in 1984, and also graduated magna cum laude. During his time at Harvard University, he was editor-in-chief and president of the prestigious daily, The Harvard Crimson.
After graduating from college, he started working at the Tallahassee Democrat where he served as a reporter. His next stop was at the Los Angeles Herald Examiner where he served as a reporter and covered a ton of stories including sporting events and homicides. He later started working at Goldman Sachs and joined the trading and sales department and also wrote for The New Republic.
