During her 30-plus year career, she reported and anchored several top-rated television markets and she has traveled to Bosnia, Russia, England, Honduras, and Ireland to cover stories.
She believes in the power of family and works with community-based organizations that aim at empowering children and women. Gayle has won five regional Emmy Awards and in 2006, she was named “Humanitarian of The Year” for the Operation Smile report.
One of the memorable stories she covered was the Operation Smile Mission to Honduras, a week in an Operating Room as doctors performed life-changing surgeries on children with cleft lip & palate. During her free time, she likes Gardening, Cooking, Singing(she is a Karaoke Singer), and Interior Design, and loves enjoying quality time with her family and friends.
