Lue attended Howard School of Journalism and Communication, Hampton University’s Scripps where she graduated with Honors and a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. After her graduation, she moved to West Virginia to start a real job at WVVA NBC station and served as a weekday reporter. During her time there, she reported, produced, and anchored for her own newscast on the weekends.

During the departure of LeBron James, she was in Cleveland and when the king took his talents to South Beach, she covered the story. During her time in WEWS, she worked as a Morning Anchor, Breaking News Reporter, Traffic Reporter, and General Assignment Reporter.
Lue realized her passion prior to graduating from high school, at the age of 15, she reported and anchored a series focusing on issues impacting Atlanta’s youth and events, “Brookwood Upclose.” She did a documentary, a local shelter for troubled youth, and won her first international journalism award at 16 years old.
She is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. While carrying out her assignments, she interviewed great icons like former NASA engineers and inspirations for the 1999 film, “October Sky” Homer Hickam and Dr. Phil. She delivered live reports for local station WVVA and MSNBC during g the Virginia Tech massacre.
