Eagan serves at WCVB-TV as an anchor and general assignment reporter at WCVB Channel 5, Boston’s News Leader. She graduated from Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College. Jennifer and Rhondella Richardson co-host NewsCenter 5’s Weekend EyeOpener at 5:00 a.m., 6:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. She is a native of Wrentham and has worked as a reporter in New England for over a decade.
Jennifer came to WCVB from WHDH, where she spent more than five years as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor. Jennifer previously worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor for New England Cable News. During her career, she has covered a number of significant local and national stories, including the return of James “Whitey” Bulger to Boston after his arrest, a story that resulted in the first video of the notorious mob boss in decades. Jennifer has been nominated for two Emmy Awards, the first for her coverage of the arrest of a New Hampshire hospital worker accused of infecting patients with Hepatitis C and the second for a feature story on Honor Flight New England.
