She served at NBC-10 in Philadelphia for twelve years as an anchor prior to joining Fox 29. While there, she won an Emmy for her Outstanding Entertainment Broadcast. Timmeney hosted and co-produced an entertaining and informative weekly show “Dawn’s Pet Project,” aired on NBC NonStop on Comcast. The show talks about animals.
Prior to coming to Philadelphia, she was working in Wilkes-Barre, PA at WBRE-TV, the NBC affiliate. While there she co-anchored the 5 pm, 6 pm, and 11 pm newscasts. She started her career at WFMZ-TV in Allentown, PA as an anchor and reporter. Timmeney served there for two years.
She was serving on the Board of Trustees for Community Partnership School. Timmeney is an education advocate and Honorary Board Member of the “Little Smiles” organization and the Crohns and Colitis Foundation.
