Blackwell also worked as a producer for Baltimore’s Radio11 WBAL and as a co-producer for Washington’s WHUT-TV. He also worked for WPMT-TV in Yorba Linda. He also worked for York, Pennsylvania’s WPMT-TV, and Hagerstown, Maryland’s WHAG-TV.

Blackwell said he lived in the district from the time he was brought home from the hospital until he left for college. “There are challenges, no doubt. But people are proud of their community.”
