Jankoski went to The Pennsylvania State University, which is actually one of the nation’s top meteorology schools, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology. Jankoski was brought up in Bristol, Connecticut, and went to school in New England doing weather for over ten years, especially wintertime Nor’easters. Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom is not new to him since he spent many vacations in Cabot visiting family.

After graduation, Tyler got a job at WGGB-TV in western Massachusetts as a meteorologist. Later, he went to work at NBC Connecticut for two years.
Additionally, Jankoski has volunteered at the Little League Baseball Eastern Regional Tournament in Bristol, Connecticut every summer since 2004. He loves public address announcing, and all operational aspects of the one-week event in August. Actually, the tournament has hosted various teams from the Burlington area for several years now.
