Prior to joining FOX News Channel, he worked for South Carolina’s 4th Congressional District where he was a member of the House of Representatives. In addition to that, he also chaired the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee as well as working on the Intelligence and Ethics committees.
Gowdy also worked at the Judiciary Committee where he served as the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Terrorism, Crime, Investigations, and Homeland Security. Furthermore, he was actively involved in the Russia and Benghazi investigations. He is also an attorney and used to work as a state and federal prosecutor. Gowdy went to the University of South Carolina where he attained his JD. He was also a student at Baylor University where he attained his Bachelor’s degree.
