McCool serves at Fox 8 WJW as the co-anchor of the top-rated 5, 6, and 10 p.m. newscasts alongside Gabe Spiegel at 5 p.m. and Lou Maglio at 6 & 10 p.m. She began as a general assignment reporter at the station. In setting up Fox 8’s Akron/Summit County Bureau at Summit Mall, she was instrumental. In her job as a morning show news correspondent and fill-in host, she became a familiar face too early risers as well.
Tracy worked for two years as a reporter/anchor for WSYX-TV and WTTE-TV in Columbus, Ohio, prior to joining Fox 8. Following a stint at WICU-TV in Erie, Pa., she landed in the state capital. Tracy started her television career behind the scenes before she stepped in front of the camera, first as a news intern, then then as a morning show producer at Fox 8 News. Tracy, a northeast Ohio native, is a Copley High School alum. She received a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University in broadcast journalism.
