Tom Messner is an American First Warning Chief Meteorologist working for NBC5 since 1990 when he joined the station. He has been forecasting and covering serious weather for the Champlain Valley and also away from it.

Messner went to the College of Wooster in Ohio and graduated with a degree in Business Economics. Further, he went ahead to the State University of New York and Mississippi State to study meteorology. His weather is a two-yearly favorite in the Champlain Valley.
