Hall is a broadcast journalist and television talk show host who began her career working at KBTX based in Bryan, Texas, serving as a general assignment reporter. She then left the station for KTVT in 1994, where she spent four more years as a general assignment reporter. Hall left the station and started working for WFLD-TV based in Chicago, Illinois from 1997 to 2007. While here, she managed to serve in different positions including consumer reporter, general assignment reporter, and host of a three-hour program, “Fox News in the Morning”. Hall often spent some time reporting on issues related to Chicago politics and enclosed many stories that hit the headlines, including one of the most traumatizing Amtrak accidents in Illinois.

Hall left the station to join MSNBC and NBC IN 2007. She also had the chance to have a one-on-one interview with Barack Obama prior to him announcing his run for the presidency in 2008. While at MSNBC, she served in different positions including as a fill-in anchor as well as a general reporter, and was very well known for being a substitute anchor for Keith Olbermann on Countdown with Keith Olbermann. Later on, she joined forces with David Shuster where she served as a co-host of The Big Picture, which was a two-hour program. Additionally, The Big Picture premiered for the first time on June 1, 2009, and came to an end on January 29, 2010.

Hall also spent some time anchoring as a substitute for Natalie Morales, and also anchored on the weekends. After her contract with NBC and MSNBC expired on February 1, 2017, she stated that she was now ready to leave the station.
