Susana Harbert is an American meteorologist who is currently working at KTAB. She serves as the weekend meteorologist at the station. Nochistlan, Zacatecas Mexico is her birth hometown and at the age of two, her family migrated to Texas. She was brought up in a small town just outside of the DFW metroplex (Everman, Texas).
She attended Texas A&M University in College Station where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science. She also majored in atmospheric science (meteorology) & oceanography. In addition, while she was in the university, she participated in a lot of extracurricular activities and even joined a group of students who storm chase during the spring season.
Furthermore, she did research with Dr. Steven DiMarco on tracking ocean currents in the Gulf of Mexico. While she was in her junior semester, she interned for KRBC & Telemundo here in Abilene, Texas.
During her leisure time, she enjoys traveling to go see her husband, shopping, and watching the latest tv series on Netflix and her favorite movie is a twister. In addition, her favorite foods are; corn, street tacos, and chicken fajita tacos, her favorite song is Darius Rucker- wagon wheel, favorite drinks horchata, and dr. Pepper and her favorite sport is football.
