Gables works for CBS 46 News serving the station as a Weekday Evening News Anchor. She has a deep history of working in journalism throughout the Southwest region. She kick-started her broadcasting career working for KWCH in Wichita, Kansas where she was reporting news and anchoring a station public affairs program.

After this, she made a move to KWTV located in Oklahoma City where she was serving the station as a Reporter, Anchor, and News Producer. While there, she was covering US Military issues that affect Tinker Air Force Base. There, she was serving as a United States Army Reservist for about seven years. Additionally, she was also working in radio at KVSP in Oklahoma City as a News Director.

She joined the WDIV News in Detroit serving the station as a News Reporter and Morning Anchor which was while covering local news. In her time in Detroit, she was serving as a spokesperson for the American Cancer Society’s Southwest Michigan Division. This led her to produce a two-hour special on breast cancer awareness.

During her time working on the BET program, she was interviewing top newsmakers which include Time Warner Chairman Richard Parsons, President Barack Obama, BET co-founder Shelia Johnson, and Texas-based Bishop T.D. Jakes, and Hillary Clinton. She was recently the evening news anchor and investigative reporter for the ABC Affiliate in Shreveport, Louisiana.

This is in addition to being the recipient of the National Black Achiever in Industry Award.

She was married to her ex-husband named Bryan Abrams who she tied the knot with back in the year 1992. Abrams happens to be the former Color Me Badd Singer. According to her, the duo departed as Abram decided to leave her when he realized she was pregnant with their son named Ryan. The duo later divorced and proceeded to have drawn-out legal battles for child support.

Afterward, she fell in love with a man named Peter Klamka who she later tied the knot with. Unfortunately, this marriage did not work out and they ended up in an acrimonious divorce. The duo ended up in court after she had made false reports regarding Klamka leading to his arrest. Klamka later sued her for making false allegations against him. After Shon was found guilty of lying to authorities and contempt of court, she was ordered to pay a $250,000 fine.

After this, she found love in a man named Anthony Robinson. The duo are still in marriage and have been married since the year 2009. They are proud parents to their two sons and one daughter.
