Shirin Rajaee is an American News Anchor and Reporter working for FOX5 in Washington, DC. She joined the station in January 2020.
Rajaee serves at Fox 5 DC as a weeknight anchor/reporter. She got her start in the news behind the scenes at Los Angeles CNN (my hometown). She owes had a great deal of support from her CNN family who trusted in me, educated me, and eventually helped to start her career. On a personal note, she comes from a large family in Iran and the Middle East. Her parents and her brother’s family live in Los Angeles (Think about her Big Fat Greek Wedding!).
As the weekend evening anchor and nightside reporter, she joined FOX 5 in January 2020. She was the weekend evening anchor/reporter for KOVR CBS in Sacramento, where she covered state politics and major breaking news reports, including the wildfires in Northern California, mass shootings in Gilroy and Las Vegas as well as stories of immigration and extremism before she got here for the past four years. She was an anchor/reporter for KEYT ABC in Santa Barbara until CBS.
