Ferreira is a reporter and anchor working for FOX 29 Philadelphia. She joined the FOX 29 News team in August 2021 as a general assignment reporter and anchor. Previously worked for two years at WTNH News 8, the ABC station in Hartford, CT as a reporter and anchor. She was nominated for an Emmy for her COVID-19 pandemic coverage and its disproportionate impact on communities of color.
She started her broadcasting job at WJAR-TV in Providence, RI as an associate producer. This was prior to her on-air break at WSAV-TV, the NBC station in Savannah, GA. She covered the trial of five Blood gang members accused of shooting and killing a student from Savannah State University during her time in the Peach State.
In addition, she reported the mass shooting at Jacksonville Landing, and hurricanes, Michael and Dorian, during the same time. Ferreira worked on a piece documenting racial tensions and inequities on the island as an executive producer for the mini-documentary “Afro-Cuba Libre” in Havana, Cuba. She is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and the National Association of Black Journalists.
