Behnken serves as an investigative and consumer reporter at WFLA News based in Tampa, Florida. Since starting her career, she has enclosed several stories about fraud and so much more. Some of the stories she enclosed included sophisticated financial schemes that led to criminal prosecutions, from everyday headaches like getting double billed and unmasked to systematic overbilling that led to an overhaul of a local county’s water department.

In 1996, she joined Western Kentucky University where she attained her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and criminology in 2000.

While at The Tampa Tribune, she was in charge of real estate, business reporting, development, and public housing. Prior to joining WFLA News, she worked at The College Heights Herald where she served as a co-editor; with various editing and reporting positions from August 1996 to May 2000.
From June 1999 to August 1999, she worked at The Oregonian where she served as a news reporter and intern. She also interned at Columbus Dispatch from May 1998 to August 1998. From June 1997 to August 1997, she interned at The Herald-Dispatch.
