Serayah portrays the role of Tiana Brown in Empire. Tiana Brown Lyon appears as a recurring character in Empire’s first season and as the main character in subsequent seasons. She is a recording artist, Hakeem Lyon’s wife, and the mother of Prince Lyon. Serayah, a singer, plays her. In “The Outspoken King,” she first appears as an R&B-pop artist signed to Empire Entertainment who begins a relationship with Hakeem Lyon. They later split up after discovering she was having an affair with another woman. They have been together several times since then, but she is currently dating Devon. Tiana is first introduced as a new pop artist under Anika Calhoun’s management.

When Hakeem becomes intrigued by her presence, Tiana declines Hakeem’s invitation to join him as a VIP at Laviticus, referring to him as a “phony” rich teenager. Despite Tiana’s initial dislike for Hakeem, she gradually grows fond of him as a result of his success. Tiana and Hakeem hook up after Hakeem perform No Apologies at Laviticus. Meanwhile, Tiana, who is still a successful artist, is thought to be in a relationship with Hakeem because of their sexual chemistry. Tiana decides to be managed by Cookie Lyon after being disappointed in Hakeem due to his disrespect for his mother and the fact that he is having an affair with an older woman, Camilla.

After Andre Lyon and Rhonda Lyon team up to broadcast her sexuality, Hakeem’s public relationship ends. Tiana meets with Hakeem and Cookie, they talk, and Tiana notices how much he has changed since he is now praising his mother.
