Pilié serves at The Weather Channel as a Meteorologist and Producer. Before joining The Weather Channel, he worked for Environmental Defense Fund in New Orleans, Louisiana as a Senior Communications Specialist for 6 months (June 2021 – November 2021). There he did hurricane messaging, coastal resilience, media/community outreach, and wetland restoration. Before going to Environmental Defense Fund, Pilié was working for an ABC Affiliated station, WGNO-TV in New Orleans, Louisiana. There he served as a meteorologist, where he worked on the night time shift, but last fall he was transferred to the morning shift. He joined the station in May 2019 and resigned in June 2021.
He holds an AMS Seal Certified in weather forecasting, as well as Meteorology. Pilié’s passion for meteorology began at a young age. During times of tropical storms, thunderstorms, as well as hurricanes, he used to spend his time on the New Orleans Lakefront using a hand-held wind gauge.
