Scot Haney is an American Meteorologist, Reporter, and Host working for WFSB-TV (CBS Affiliate) in Hartford, Connecticut weekday morning meteorologist and evening host. He joined the station in November 1998.

Haney serves at WFSB as a Meteorologist. His forecasts appear from Monday to Friday on Eyewitness News This Morning from 4:30 AM to 7 AM. Also, he serves as a co-host of “Better Connecticut” which airs from Monday to Friday at 3 PM. He provides up-to-the-minute updates of the most accurate weather forecasts especially tailored to the morning commute. He is excited to work with the Channel 3 Early Warning Weather team. Haney says that he loves his job because it has a positive influence on the viewers.

For 12 successive/consecutive years, Haney was recognized as Connecticut’s Best News Personality by The Hartford Advocate. Additionally, Haney holds the 2003 American Red Cross Service Award. Haney has been a member of the AMS – American Meteorological Society. According to AMS, Haney took the required number of courses to qualify as a meteorologist.
