She joined the station in June 2015 as a reporter and covers local stories on weekdays and in the afternoon and evening, she brings the latest developments from the Alert Center. Prior to moving to the south, she made a stop in Binghamton, New York, and worked at Fox 40 News as a reporter and anchor.
She anchored exclusive stories upstate New York and across the Southern Tier during her time in “the arctic tundra” for the station’s 10 PM show. Bleiweis reported the Binghamton University students’ protest against the deaths of Eric Garner and Michael Brown. In addition, she went after and reported a local man’s 3rd murder trial that received extensive national coverage that spread over some months.
During the course of her time in college during summer, she spent it in her hometown of Gainesville, Florida, at a local station. She learned how to work in front and behind the camera. Bleiweis interned at WSB-TV during her senior year. She served as a color commentator and sideline reporter for the Atlanta Silverbacks Professional Men’s Soccer Team.
During her free time, she likes taking runs in, or in a loud, tough spin class. Furthermore, during her rest, she is relaxing on the couch with a cup of tea, her two kitties, and a book or tries out new recipes in her kitchen.
