Nobles began as a National Correspondent for CNN Newsource at CNN, where he reported on significant breaking news stories across the U.S., as well as the 2016 Presidential election. 

Before joining CNN, he worked for WWBT/NBC12 in Richmond, Virginia as a political reporter and news anchor. While there, he led the coverage of the presidential elections of 2012 and 2008. His coverage of Virginia political figures has been cited by news organizations across the globe.

Nobles have covered the historic corruption trial of Bob McDonnell (former Virginia Governor); conducted an interview with President Obama 3 times, and provided live coverage from the shocking election night loss of Leader Eric Cantor (then-House Majority). Nobles began his journalism career at WKTV in Utica, New York, where he served as a news reporter and anchor. From there, he moved to WTEN in Albany, New York to work as a news reporter and anchor. While at WTEN, he reported on the New York State Legislature.

In the years 2013 and 2009, The Washington Post named him “Best State-Based Political Reporter.” In the year 2011, he was on POLITICO’s “50 to Watch” list. Nobles hold an Edward R. Murrow award and 2 local Emmy Awards for covering breaking news. He was among the inaugural class to be inducted into the WBSU Hall of Fame in the year 2018.
