After realizing that he will be a professional athlete, he turned to sports television but thought it was going to be a reality.
He did not go for journalism or broadcasting classes, he learned everything he could during the summer. Ermanni finally got a job in Cadillac, Michigan at 9 and 10 News and worked there for one. In 2003, FOX 2 hired him for a full-time job in the sports department.
In the course of his time at FOX 2, he has covered the Stanley Cup championship, Final Four, NBA Finals, Ryder Cup, World Series, and Super Bowl. FOX 2 gives him opportunities to work in different non-sports-related assignments including working in the news department.
Ermanni has worked his way up through the rank from feature reporter, co-host of “The Nine,” to a morning news anchor. “The Nine” is a signature late morning talk show in Detroit that is informative, insightful, and entertaining.
