Flores’s investigation into the death of a Chicago teenager, Roshad McIntosh, who was shot to death by a Chicago police officer in the year 2017, led to the reopening of the city’s investigation. The investigation is documented in “Beneath The Skin,” a 3-episode CNNgo documentary. The project earned a National Association of Black Journalists Award as well as an EBBY Award.
