Previously he was working at WOIO-WUAB in Cleveland, Ohio as a news reporter and sports anchor. Duncan started his career at the Baltimore Veterans Hospital as a volunteer disc jockey and news announcer in 1978.

He got his big television “break” as a sports reporter and weekend sports anchor at WJZ-TV in Baltimore, MD after he honed his on-air skills with over more than 30,000 volunteer hours. Duncan co-anchored with Oprah Winfrey while rehearsing for his television debut. His sportscasting job took him to Durham, NC, Phoenix, AZ, Columbus, Cleveland, OH, New Haven, CT, and Indianapolis, IN.
He was nominated three times for Emmy awards while working at WOIO as a Sports Director. Duncan also worked at WKNR-AM where he hosted a morning radio talk show. While working at WAAY-TV, he won Associated Press “Best Sports Coverage” awards and in 2012, he traveled to Huntsville, Alabama, and won ”Best Sports Anchor” from the Broadcasters Association.
When he joined WNEM-TV in Flint and Saginaw, Michigan in 2014, he made the leap from sports to news. He secured an exclusive one-on-one interview with Governor Rick Snyder, from his apartment while leading the station’s coverage of the infamous Flint Water Crisis. WNEM won the Associated Press award after that interview, along with other breaking news stories. Duncan likes being involved in community work, he works with the NAACP and the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Veterans Administration.
