On August 28, 2006, he joined Jodi Applegate as co-anchor of Good Day New York at the flagship Fox-owned affiliate WNYW. When he was on vacation in April 2008, his contract was not renewed to make room for Fox News Channel correspondent Greg Kelly.

He had a fractured left kneecap in a fall in Santa Fe, New Mexico while he was on a house tour on August 13, 2017. Luckily, his acquaintances dialed 911 and he was taken to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe.
While he was hospitalized, he underwent a three-hour-long surgery. After he had had his surgery, his leg had a full-length straight-led cast thus he had to wait for six months for it to be removed. He also went to rehab for a number of months.
