Cantú serves at FOX Deportes as the chief NFL analyst. He was recently the lead analyst for Super Bowl LIV, the most-watched Spanish-language Super Bowl in history. In 2005, he became the first non-kicker from the Mexican collegiate system to play in an NFL game for the Arizona Cardinals, cementing his place in the NFL record books.

After a successful college career in Mexico, Cant joined the Cardinals after starring for the Berlin Thunder in NFL Europe. His professional career ended in 2006 due to a serious knee injury; however, he quickly became a Cardinals front-office employee. He is currently the club’s Manager of International Business as well as an analyst for the team’s Spanish-language radio broadcasts. He is extremely active in growing the game in Mexico, including running a series of camps for young players each summer.

Cant play American football with his neighbors as well as Pop Warner, which is a serious sport in Mexico. He decided at the age of fifteen that he wanted to play in the NFL someday. He rose to prominence in Mexico during his time with the Borregos Salvages (Wild Rams) Cant was an exchange student at Texas A&M-Kingsville in 2000, training with their team with the goal of playing NCAA Division II football in the fall. Despite his obvious talent, the school chose to give him a loan rather than a scholarship. He declined because he still had a full scholarship at Monterrey Tech. During his first season, Cant won the 1999 national championship, the first of four Mexican championship games.

Cantú and his team won another national championship in 2002 before falling short in 2003. He has also been a member of the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, and Denver Broncos. He is a member of the New York Giants and the New York City 49ers of the National Football League, and he was named to the NFL All-Star team for the 2010 Super Bowl XLVII game. Cantu is the grandson of former NFL great Juan Carlos Cant and the son of former Mexico international football star Felipe Cant. He was the first Mexican player to play professionally in the NFL after being trained in the Mexican collegiate system. In 2004, he was signed by the Arizona Cardinals. During training camp, he tore his meniscus in his right knee and was placed on an injured reserve.

Cant debuted in July 2006 and retired the following month. On January 1, 2006, he made his NFL debut against the Indianapolis Colts. He is the only Mexican player to have appeared in an NFL game for a professional team. He also played for the Berlin Thunder, who won the World Bowl in 2004 and the NFL World Bowl in 2004.
