After working for Mars, he began a career at The Coca-Cola Company where he was mentored by former Coke and current Hooters executive Carl Sweat. There, Oza revived the Powerade and Sprite brands using innovative methods. After resigning from Coca-Cola in 2002, Rohan left to be a partner in Vitamin Water, doing business as Glacéau, whose sales at the time hovered around $25 million.
More innovative marketing and celebrity partnerships, fostered by Oza’s leadership, grew the Vitamin Water and Smartwater brands. By using celebrities such as 50 Cent, LeBron James, Jennifer Aniston, and Tom Brady, Oza was able to grow the fledgling brands.
In 2007, Coca-Cola purchased Glacéau in acquisition of $4.2 billion expanding the company’s non-carbonated portfolio. Oza was appointed Chief Marketing Officer of Coke’s still brands, returning to the company after the acquisition.
He has many philanthropic endeavors but is most passionate about the Children Matter NGO, a partnership between The Starkey Hearing Foundation and Matter Organization, which focuses on providing hearing implants, food, and medical equipment to underprivileged children in Africa. Oza, alongside Gene Simmons, hosts an annual gala at his residence and in only two years has raised over $1 million.
