After that, he began his TV career in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he worked for KATC Channel 3 news. There he worked for “Good Morning Acadiana” filling in as a Sports and News Reporter when needed, as well as a Morning Show Producer.
His morning newscast took the second position in the competition of the Associated Press Louisiana-Mississippi Broadcasters in the year 2016. Mills was recruited to report news for an ABC-affiliated television station, KTBS in Shreveport, Louisiana in the year 2018. There, he also served as a Multimedia Journalist.
In the same year, he was again recruited to an ABC-affiliated television station in New Orleans, WGNO. He served as a Morning Show Producer at WGNO Channel 26 news and in February, he got a promotion to Sports Reporter, as well as Sports Anchor.
