Novini began her journalism career in the year 2011 when she worked for an ABC affiliate, KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs. There she served as a digital content director, before earning a promotion to an on-air role in the year 2013. She spent a total of 4 and a half years at KRDO. In the year 2014, Novini won the Colorado Broadcasters Association Award for “Best Feature Report.” For being voted the “Best TV News Anchor” by viewers, she earned the Silver Award in the year 2015.
