Raegan Medgie is an American award-winning News Reporter/Anchor and Meteorologist working for FOX 5 New York. She joined the station in June 2017.

Raegan Medgie Career

Medgie serves at FOX 5 New York as a News Reporter and Anchor, as well as a Meteorologist. She reports the early morning newscasts for Good Day Wake Up and Good Day New York. When she is not reporting in the field, she can be seen in the studio anchoring or forecasting the weather. Before joining FOX 5, she worked at The Weather Channel.

Medgie’s first day on-air was the launch of AMHQ with Sam Champion. As the Northeast Correspondent based in New York, Medgie became part of “Wake Up With Al” and MSNBC as she crisscrossed the country, chasing storms and humanizing the outcome.

Medgie also worked as a general assignment reporter covering breaking news for WCBS/CBS2 New York. She also filled in as the entertainment reporter for CBS-FM. Prior to making New York home, Medgie was a reporter and anchor for WNEP (ABC) Newswatch 16 in Scranton, Pennsylvania; TV2 News in Allentown, Pennsylvania; and WETM (NBC) in Elmira, New York where she earned an Associated Press Award for Best Enterprise Reporting.

Medgie’s first taste as a reporter started at Temple Update, the student-run TV station at her alma mater Temple University in Philadelphia. She is from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and loves experiencing life with family and friends. Medgie enjoys traveling, and running through new neighborhoods, and is a huge supporter of animal rights and welfare.
