Peter Daut is an American 3-time Regional Emmy Award-winning News Anchor/Reporter currently working for KESQ-TV since joining the station in February 2020. He currently anchors the afternoon newscasts, from Monday through Friday at the station.

Prior to joining KESQ, he was in Los Angeles, California, working as a News Anchor for KCAL-TV, as well as KCBS-TV(the West Coast flagship station). Daut was the primary reporter on several important stories while at KCAL, such as the Pulse nightclub shooting massacre in Orlando, Florida. He covered O.J. Simpson’s parole hearing in Carson City, Nevada, the legalization of recreational marijuana in Denver, Colorado, and the 2016 presidential election in New York City.

He hosted live coverage of the devastating Woolsey fire in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, as well as the tragic Trader Joe’s standoff and the Thousand Oaks mass shooting. He received an Emmy in the Individual Achievement category for a compilation of his work in the year 2016.
