Before joining NBC5 Chicago, she was working as an afternoon SportsCenter anchor on ESPN Radio 1000 and host of “The Point After” on Saturday mornings. She was the first woman to host a sports talk show in Chicago, as co-host of WMAQ-AM’s “Sports Huddle.”
She also hosted a show career started at CLTV in 1996 when she returned to Chicago after stints as a producer for CBS and NBC during the Barcelona Summer Games and Albertville Winter Olympics. Peggy has also anchored in the 2000 Summer Olympics from Sydney, for ABC Radio Sports and Australia.
Kusinski has also begun her network sports career in Bristol, as a production assistant at ESPN-TV. She has won two National Emmy Awards while a producer at ESPN. She is also on the Board Of Directors for Girls in the Game and is active in her alma mater Resurrection High School.
