Folger works for KSTP as an evening news anchor in Oklahoma City. Before joining KSTP, he was working as a weekday morning and noon anchor at KOCO-5 in Jacksonville. Previously, he worked for KOCO, he worked for WTEV-47 as a morning news anchor in Jacksonville, Florida Florida for five years. From November 1998 to October 2002, he worked for KDAF as a reporter in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. Paul worked as a weekend anchor/weekday reporter at WCTI In New Bern, North Carolina for one year. He worked for WHSV as News Bureau Chief for eleven months in Harrisonburg, VA.

In 2013 he covered memorable breaking news events like an EF-5 tornado that devastated an Oklahoma City suburb. He was also honored to travel with World War II Veterans on an Honor Flight to visit their Memorial in Washington, DC. Additionally, Folger has coverage that won a Murrow Award and co-anchored 2009 Blizzard coverage that won a Murrow Award.

As for his education, he attended the University of North Carolina in Asheville where he graduated. He worked in Germany and then backpacked all over Europe for a summer job at a needle factory.
