Sparano serves at NBC 26 as the evening news anchor. She has over ten years of experience as an anchor and, most recently, as a reporter in Denver, Colorado. Nina and attended the University of Toledo, where she earned a degree in Broadcast Communications. Her first job was as a morning anchor at KPAX-TV in Missoula, Montana, followed by weekends anchoring at KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs, where she was quickly promoted to anchoring weekday evening newscasts.
Sparano worked as a technology reporter and fill-in anchor at KDVR in Denver, and later as a reporter for KCNC-TV in Denver, covering the greater Denver area as well as northern Colorado.
Sparano has covered some of the most riveting stories in the country, from school and church shootings to wildfires and the 1,000-year flood that devastated much of northern, central, and southern Colorado. She has won numerous awards for her work in spot news, specialty reporting, and anchoring. Sparano says she is honored to be welcomed back into the television news community and that she has finally found her home at NBC26 in northeastern Wisconsin.
