Nicole Nalepa is an American Anchor and Reporter working for WFSB-TV (CBS Affiliate) in Hartford, Connecticut as a morning news anchor and host. She joined the station in December 2013.

Nalepa is a proud graduate of Westfield State University. She graduated from the university with a degree in Communication and Broadcast Journalism. Nalepa serves at WFSB as an anchor for “Eyewitness News This Morning,” the #1-morning newscast in Connecticut. Also, she co-hosts WFSB’s newest daily lifestyle show: “Great Day at 9A.” Since joining the station, she has been waking up at 4:30 AM from Monday to Friday. She began as a traffic/news anchor at WFSB. Nalepa has hosted weekly segments and franchises on WFSB such as “The Bright Spot,” “What’s Going On,” “Surprise Squad,” “Lost & Pound,” and “Family Friday.” During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nalepa honed her passion for positive storytelling and assisting others with this daily segment.
Before joining WFSB, she served at WWLP in Springfield, Massachusetts as a senior producer, multimedia journalist, news anchor, and reporter for 3 years and 2 months. While there, she was among the 1st “live on-scene” reporters from western Massachusetts to report on the manhunt for the Boston Marathon bombing suspect. A number of Nalepa’s live coverage that contributed to an Emmy Award-winning newscast, were aired on CNN.
She also embedded with local pilots when Hurricane Sandy hit the Northeast parts, where they delivered help to one of the hardest hit areas in New Jersey, and Nalepa documented the journey. In the year 2011, Nalepa reported on the deadly tornado that hit western Massachusetts and was among the news crew that earned an Associated Press Award and 2 Emmy Awards for the coverage.
While in college, she was chosen for a post-grad internship on the “Evening News with Katie Couric” at CBS News in New York. It was there that she found herself handing her favorite television news anchor her scripts every night. She was also responsible for pitching an investigative piece for 60 Minutes, which she presented in front of the CBS News execs.
