Merianos is a Meteorologist at Bay News 9. Prior to joining the Bay News 9 weather team, he was working with Weather Nation as their On-Camera Meteorologist. Before that, he worked at WBNG TV 12 as a meteorologist and multimedia journalist. He has always been in love with the weather, by sharing his enthusiasm with the community, helps viewers plan their day ahead.
In July 2020, he was honored by the American Meteorological Society, now he is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist. Throughout his career, he has walked through the most severe of storms, now he recently acquired a pilot license for small airplanes.
During his leisure time, he is on the beach enjoying his new home. For six years, Merianos was a volunteer firefighter and for two years he was certified as EMT by the Vermont Department of Health. Merianos attended Lyndon State University and in 2014 after finishing his studies, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Science and Meteorologist. In June 2013, he interned with WHDH-TV under the former chief meteorologist, Pete Bouchard (now at NBC Boston).
