Snider attended Saint Ignatius High School where he studied between 2013 and 2017 where he obtained a High School Diploma. During his time there, he was participating in the Men’s Chorus, Saint Joseph of Arimathea Pallbearer Society, and Cross Country, Track.
After this, he went on to join Ohio University in Athens where he studied between 2017 and 2021. There, he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology and a Minor in Journalism. While there, he was a member of the WOUB Public Media, Scalia Laboratory for Atmospheric Research, and the Ohio University Chapter of the American Meteorological Society.

Snider works for WSAZ News serving the station as a Weekday Noon and 4 PM Meteorologist. He states he is no stranger to the tri-state area and that he spent about 4 years between 2017 and 2021. Prior to this, he was working for KMVT in Twin Falls, Idaho as a Morning Meteorologist where he worked between October 2022 and June 2023. Aside from this, he served the station as a Weekend Meteorologist/MMJ between June 2021 and October 2022.
Snider has also previously worked for WOUB News serving the station as a Lead Forecaster. This is in addition to being Southeastern Ohio’s PBS Station, and Ohio Student-run television station. In addition to this, he was an event coordinator for the University’s chapter of the American Meteorological Society.
Snider was also serving as the Lead Forecaster for the student-run forecast Laboratory, the Scalia Lab. In his time in the Gem State, he was privileged to win multiple awards for his weathercasts which include the 2022 best weathercast award from the Idaho Press Club and his reporting.
Snider was raised on the west side of Cleveland and has been a weather geek for almost his whole life. He states that it is two events that fueled his passion, the Valentine’s Day winter storm of the year 2007, and a severe rotating thunderstorm impacting the Lake Erir shoe on the 7th of May 2010. Snider’s main passions in the field include severe thunderstorms and winter storms.
During his time in college, he was able to take part in a storm-chasing seminar back in the year 2019. Aside from this, he did a small research project that focused on thunderstorm initiation along dry lines in the Great Plains back in the year 2020. Both of these experiences were under the advice of tornado and radar scientist Dr. Jana Houser. Away from work, he enjoys biking, skiing, hiking, and golfing.
