Robertson had an accident in the summer of 1984 when he was on his way to his 1st job. At the time, he was a new college graduate. He waved his parents goodbye at a train station in Dundee, Scotland and the train pulled out of the station. The train he was on went off the tracks suddenly on a curve and his car flipped on its side. However, later that day, Robertson arrived at his new job with blood on his shirt from a few insignificant glass cuts and came to discover that he had a broken wrist after 2 days. Robertson came to find out later that the engineer was overspeeding.
