She started her journalism career at WTOV-TV in Steubenville, Ohio where she worked as a news reporter, anchor, and producer. At WSCO, she was responsible for producing a number of in-depth investigative stories on the use of black-tar heroin and the rise in human trafficking. She was honored by The West Virginia Associated Press for investigative coverage of sex offenders voting in public schools.

She traveled to Washington, D.C. in the year 2011 to conduct an interview with Pres. Obama where the topic of discussion was local-international trade issues. In the year 2012, she was responsible for co-anchoring a live political report on the Democratic National Convention held in Charlotte, N.C. 

Pasquarella is a supporter and volunteer of the Charlotte community. She has been a board member of an organization that worked to ease the impact of homelessness on children in schools, “A Child’s Place.” Also, she was a supporter of Classroom Central, Communities in Schools, and the American Red Cross. Pasquarella has also been a supporter of the March of Dimes, Tri-State Boys and Girls clubs, and Tri-State food banks and food pantries, in New York.
