Mike Ferreri is an American sports director/anchor/reporter who is well known for having worked at KOMO 4 News in Seattle, Washington.
Mike Ferreri Career
Ferreri recently served at KOMO-TV as a sports director. This is a position he held since joining the station. He also appeared on the 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts on weekdays. Before joining KOMO, he was the sports director at WAAV radio in Wilmington, North Carolina for three years. While in North Carolina he hosted a nationally syndicated NASCAR show for three years then moved on to WHBQ Fox TV in Memphis in 1996 where he was the weekend anchor for six months before being promoted to sports director. He left Memphis in 2000 for Seattle ready to get away from the heat and enjoy all the Northwest has to offer.
He is a Connecticut native. Mike left his beloved Red Sox behind and went to the University of Iowa where he became a Hawkeye and embraced Big 10 Sports. When he is not covering the Seahawks, Sonics, Mariners, or Washington Huskies. Mike spends his time on his bike or in a kayak. Mostly, though, he plays indoor basketball in his house with his bride and two young kids.

Ferreri resigned from KOMO on Friday, July 30, 2021, and journalism in general. This was after his 21-year career with KOMO News, and after 30 years in local television. Before he delivered his last report, he was the subject of a video retrospective compiled by news anchor Eric Johnson that took a look back at Ferreri’s time at KOMO-TV. Ferreri chose to leave the station to pursue new challenges.
