Valles serves as the general assignment reporter on weekdays for NBC4’s Today in LA and the NBC4 News at 11 a.m. She also reports for and anchors the weekend edition of Today in LA from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. Valles covers breaking news every day and interviews authors, filmmakers, dignitaries, and local experts to provide more depth and clarity on issues.
One of her most memorable assignments at NBC4 was covering the death of Rodney King. She hosted the station’s first breaking news report on the story, and she continued to report from the field until late in the evening on the day it broke.
