Bogowith serves as the Mid Morning and Noon Meteorologist on Fox 4 channel. The storm’s power and beauty captivated and intrigued her. From then on, you could find her out on my deck during storms, watching Mother Nature’s ferocity.
She knew exactly what she wanted to be when she grew up: a meteorologist. She decided to pursue her meteorology degree at The University of Missouri, following in my footsteps. In 2008, she graduated from the University as a double major with a Bachelor of Science in meteorology and Communications.
And in December 2011, she finished her Master’s degree in meteorology. She began her career as a fill-in weathercaster at KOMU-TV 8 in January 2007 and quickly rose through the ranks to become the Evening meteorologist in Columbia, Missouri.
She was recognized by the Missouri Broadcasters Association while at KOMU, where she won Best Weathercast in 2010 and 2012. In addition to several reporting awards, including an Edward R. Murrow and a National SPJ Sigma Delta ChShe award for my work in Joplin, Missouri following the May 22nd tornado.
Bogowith joined Fox 4 in September 2012 as the Mid Morning and Noon meteorologist. She also received my Certified Broadcast meteorologist Seal (#639) from the American Meteorological Society in March of 2014.
