Her investigations into sex abuse and mismanagement of funds at San Diego migrant youth shelters earned her the 2019 National Association of Hispanic Journalists Al Neuharth Investigative Journalism award. She has also covered the 2018 migrant caravan in Tijuana, Mexico, and has reported on climate change in Australia following wildfires.
Adan joined the NBCUniversal family in June 2016 as a member of the prestigious NBC Reporter Development Program. She went on to work for NBC 6 South Florida as a Reporter/Multimedia Journalist. She was in South Florida at the time of the tragic shooting at Ft.
