Layden serves at News 4 as the weekend morning meteorologist on News4 Today Saturday and Sunday mornings. She began as the morning traffic anchor at the station. Melanie is a native of Jackson, Tennessee, and received her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from The University of Mississippi.
