Oliver serves at CBS as a correspondent for CBS News based in New York City. She reports for all CBS News programs and platforms. She began as the overnight anchor of “Up to the Minute” and as a correspondent for “The Early Show” at CBS. Oliver is a veteran journalist with over two decades of news and anchoring experience. Over the past two years, Oliver has been covering a wide variety of news reports around the country—and across the world—as a reporter for CBS Newspath, a 24/7 news-gathering program for CBS stations and broadcasters around the world.

She has commented extensively on the case of a Florida woman who ran away with a soccer coach. Since the teen was identified, Oliver was the first network reporter to sit down with his friends. She was the correspondent and anchor for ABC News in 2009.
She returned to CBS News as a freelancer in 2015, where she also anchored on CBSN, reporting news such as the shooting of San Bernardino and the murders of WDBJ-TV reporter Allison Parker and her videographer Adam Ward. Before CBS News, Oliver was at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. And that’s 11 p.m. Anchor at KGPE-TV, a CBS subsidiary in Fresno, California.
Previously, Oliver was an anchor reporter for WKBD/WWJ-TV, a CBS-owned service in her hometown of Detroit. She was a reporter for Northwest Cable News in Seattle earlier. Oliver started his career as an anchor reporter at KCFW-TV in Kalispell, Montana.
