While there, she covered news of the week, touring bands like U2 and David Bowie, local celebrities, and the local surf scene.
In her time at college, she transitioned to radio news and became a DJ in Southern California. While bouncing around Southern California for about a few years, she landed in San Diego and found herself being called an On-Camera Meteorologist. Aside from this, she also logged some hours in the pilot’s seat as an airborne traffic reporter.

Loos has previously worked for WBIR in Knoxville, Tennessee, and KBCI in Boise, ID. She has also made a move up to Seattle and spent three years at KING 5 and NWCN before deciding to call Portland home.
In her about four years as morning anchor for KEX radio, she was covering a variety of stories. Her biggest story, the Flight of Friendship to Japan, was able to earn her an Edward R. Murrow Award for Best Series in the year 2012. Being a field reporter and meteorologist, she is now covering every kind of weather event that ranges from deadly tornado outbreaks to ice storms and thundersnows. She also won an Emmy for her live weather coverage during the closure of I-84 back in the month of February 2019.
