Lee serves at KPIX 5 as a fill-in meteorologist. She began as a weekday noon and morning meteorologist at the station, and she held that role since she joined, until March 2022. In addition to her filling-in role at the station, she also hosts her own iTunes podcast by the name of STEM Boldly. She began her journalism career working at KOVR-TV in Sacramento where she served as a writer. She, later on, left the station and started working at KHSL-TV in Chico where she served as a reporter for some time.
Lee left KHSL-TV and joined a station in Austin, Texas where she started her weather forecasting career. During her tenure in Austin, she enclosed the flash floods which were one of the most destructive weather events not just in 2007 but in the history of Central Texas. Lee left the station based in Austin in 2010 and joined KPRC-TV where he served as a weather forecaster. While at KPRC-TV, she enclosed the 2012 Hurricane Isaac and so many more weather events.
She then left KPRC-TV and joined KING 5 in Seattle in 2013 where she also worked alongside the Washington state hydrologist. Lee is also very active when it comes to helping out in her community. For instance, she is part of quite a number of organizations and foundations including Special Olympics, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
